JOB VACANCY - Voluntary/Part time.
ClubMatt Productions has an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to become a professional DJ. No previous experience required. This position will be voluntary and part time and will require around 10-15 hours per week. We have already paid for an online professional DJ course, with lifetime access. This training will be provided free of charge for the successful candidate, along with the use of our studio facilities, including a pioneer DJ controller and access to Serato DJ Pro software, with the facility to link the DJ controller laptop up to a portable recording studio. We also have a set of record decks with mixer, two twin CD players, both with DJ controllers, all running through a studio mixer, which also has the facility of an iPod or laptop running through the studio mixer as well. This all goes out a powered stage speaker.
All we ask in exchange is that we follow your DJ training journey on one of our monthly shows, where I will host the show, discussing ur progress, as well as doing a small set each show to showcase how your skills are developing. The series will be called 'A DJs Journey' and will be filmed for our website and social media channels (including YouTube).
In addition to this, once you are confident with your mixing, we can record some of your practice and demo sets for you (we have a 1/11 CD/DVD duplicator) and send them out as demos to local radio stations, producers and agents.
Please be aware that ClubMatt Productions is only a small production company, operating on a part time basis, although we do have plans to expand. We currently run two shows a month, but plan for another three series a month from April 2025. This includes the trainee Resident DJ show series. The recording studio has been set up out of my own pocket and with no funding, so the recording studio is currently my lounge. The office is also based in my house.
As the trainee Resident DJ, you will be the public face of ClubMatt Productions, and will get the chance to present some of our shows for us. You will also be offered the opportunity to be part of the production company's Paranormal Investigation team, where once a month we go as a team on a paranormal investigation of an allegedly haunted location. All paranormal equipment will be provided and the paranormal investigation will feature on each month's paranormal show, where we will discuss the investigation and what we did or didn't see or experience.
Contract start date: (Approx.) 1st Apr, 2025. Must be 18yo+.
